How to protect your Android phone
If you want to protect your Android mobile phone from this type of threat, the best thing to do is not to install apps from sources outside of Google Play, or if you do, install apps from trusted sites. This is the first layer of security in this regard.
However, some malicious apps can still infiltrate the App Store, so keeping an eye on the permissions they request is also a good way to see if any of these apps are being bypassed.
Google Play reviews often reveal some abuse committed by apps, so they can also help you detect malicious apps.
